🏈 Ford Focus 1.0 Ecoboost Spark Plug Change Interval

I've been doing some basic maintenance on my 190,000km Focus 1.0L 125PS. I'm an experienced bicycle mechanic and generally good with fixing 'stuff', but this is the first time I've done any significant work on a car. No disasters so far, thankfully. Anyway, having just changed the spark plugs, I Ford uses an IOLM (Intelligent Oil-Life Monitor), and the Ford scheduled maintenance does call for extended oil change intervals. These intervals can stretch to as far as 10,000 miles or a full year. Of course, many techs, customers and shop owners do not think favorably about the use of extended length oil service intervals. I was trying to change my spark plugs earlier today to no avail. I have a standard 5/8” spark plug socket from Kobalt. It does not fit in the hole where the spark plug is. The outside circumference of the socket is too wide. I’ve seen videos on YouTube and no one else seems to have an issue with getting a spark plug socket down in there. I just recently received my 2021 F150 3.5 and am curious about when other owners of a new 3.5 change oil the first time and then the mileage interval between following changes. I've owned a lot of cars and trucks in the past and have always changed oil (full synthetic) at 3500 to 4000 miles My first oil and filter change will be at 1000 miles. I will also change over to a full synthetic ( Mobil 1 ) oil. I use Motorcraft filters and change both oil and filter every 5000 miles or annually on my vehicles. I also use full synthetic in my garden tractor, snow thrower, and push mowers.
