If there is voltage across the two pins then you need to check the continuity of the violet/white wire at pin 4 back to plu F pin 3 on the central electrics computer
Hello almighty Golf enthusiasts! I have a 2011 MK6 R, and the windshield wipers are not working. Tried 2 new motors already and no success. The hood lock is working without any faults. The car recognises that it is properly closed. The windshield wiper motor has good +12V and good ground. Tested with a light bulb.
Matt-T. If you are using LED bulbs they will be polarity sensitive. I believe the fuses are No 22 & 23 from memory but check your fuse card or search the forum. If your fuses are fine i would get a multimeter and measure for voltage at the switch, then with the switch on check at plug on the lights, then the bulb holder.
on my '98 mk4, the siren was in the boot, on the drivers side. You have to remove the carpet type of trim on the side of the boot 1st. The siren is hidden behind a metal plate on the side of the boot. The metal plate is removed by undoing a few bolts. Its very easy ( i managed it [ ]), should take about 5-10mins.

Common problems with the EVAP system include faults with the purge valve that vents fuel vapors to the engine, leaks in vent and vacuum hoses, and loose, ill-fitting or missing gas caps. Best bet is to smoke test the system. Both to be honest the smell is mainly in front of of the car .
The warning light supplies a bit of current to get the alternator started. Without it, there will be no charging. Since the lamp does not light when you ground the D+ terminal, this points to a burned out bulb in the cluster or wiring between cluster and alternator.

The dashboard light for a burned out bulb will turn on and the turn signal light will blink quickly. Both are the normal indications for a burned out bulb. However, after a while, this will go away and everything will work fine.

Re: Indicators not working. I am running into some issues with the indicators on a 1.3 vw fox. The light displays on the dash when I turn on the indicator but, the indicators don't go on, however the hazards work fine. I have checked all fuses, and replaced the flashing unit. What more is there to check, as the hazards don't work.
The brakes work completely fine, the red light that used to be on the dashboard for a few months has disappeared yet the yellow break pad sensor light on the dashboard has come on now. Any help's appreciated, thanks. I hope you can understand what I'm saying and I'm not speaking in riddles but yeah.. I don't know shit about cars.
I’ve seen else where this is a common problem, but I’ve gone through the usual trouble shoot and not been able to fix. Bought a cheap mk4 which ran well but stupidly didn’t notice Speedo and trip counter weren’t working. Just found snipped wires (red/black) under drivers seat Matt as well as electrical screwdriver.
